MO Math Tournament

On March 9, 2014 five Cross Hill Academy 8th grade students received the opportunity to compete in the 2014 "MoMath Tournament", held at Manhattanville College. The students were ecstatic and thrilled to have been chosen to compete. They knew it would be a difficult task with only three days to prepare. They studied hard and practiced consistently until the day of the tournament.

Our "mathletes" tried their very best and represented Cross Hill Academy with class and character. Their efforts led to a sixth place finish out of twenty Westchester middle schools competing. Perennial powerhouses John Jay, Ardsley MS, and Solomon Schecter were several of the teams that placed in front of us.

Congratulations to Cross Hill’s Math Team: Veronica Sevivas, Dareliza Cuevas, Jason Gomes, Edickson Cruz, and Albin Jose who showed that Cross Hill can compete at the highest levels of academic rigor.
